Snorkeling at the Quarry

Last week we went snorkeling with some of our friends. The beach that we went to was about a 10 minute drive. It was really fun. There were about 8 couples that went. So half stayed on the beach and baby sat while the other half went out to snorkel. Then we switched! I was super excited because it was Fi Dan's first time snorkeling and he loved it! This was a pretty nice place. You didn't have to swim out too far and you could see a school of fish swimming everywhere, and we saw HUGE sea urchins, super cool fish, and amazing coral. While we were out Fi Dan saw a pretty big fish with a fin. We were pretty freaked out so we came back to shore. Supposedly there aren't any sharks in the Caribbean Sea, but I don't know if I believe that completely! But it was a great day for memories! :)

Some of the kids.

More of the kids.

Little Spencer just enjoying the water.

Kids galore!

Doing it like a pro.

Super ugly picture of me, but for memory's sake, here it is.

I seriously need a new waterproof camera. This picture just doesn't do it justice!

Family Home Evening and Posicles

We have had such blessings through trying to keep the Sabbath Day holy. Fi Dan doesn't study on Sundays and reserves that whole day for church and us! We are so blessed to have such an awesome man in our life! After church we usually eat, take a nap, and then get ready to eat again! After dinner we have Family Home Evening. The boys really like Family Home Evening and ask if we can have it every night. I love that Rylan calls it "Family Home Meetings". We try to be creative and teach the Book of Mormon stories and Bible stories in different ways. We've done plays, talk stories, and now puppet fingers. We did finger puppets for the story of Alma the Younger. We filmed it and they boys did such a good job.

The Cast and baby Spencer.

Take 2.

Yummy treats from our friend Charlotte!
Chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter, marshmellows, and cotton balls!???

The good Alma

The mean sons of Mosiah.

Almost every afternoon after they wake up from their naps, the boys will ask for a Popsicle. I don't mind because they are so quiet as they enjoy their posicle and I just enjoy the quietness!

They are so cute.

Love them!

Sunset Bay!

Woo-who! So the 2 week break is here and we started it off by going to Sunset Bay. The church moms got together and we planned out some activities for the break. This was the first activity that we had planned. We went with a bunch of families from our Branch. They are so awesome people and I really am so glad to have this opportunity to get to know them and be friends with them!

We just spent most of the time hanging out on the beach. As you can see, the shade on the beach was amazing so we just sat on the beach chairs and enjoyed the view. Nenji, Rylan, and I went swimming in the beach and Fi Dan and Spencer just hung out. We also took them to the Resort's swimming pool. We had a really good time!

Yay! Everybody getting settling in on the beach.

Nenji ready to go.

Swimming in the ocean.

Picture of his forehead.

Our friend Nate caught this HUGE iguana! So cool.

Aloha from Dominica!

I just LOVE Spencer's smile in this picture. I also love Rylan's Spiderman pose.

This boy, he loves to flirt with girls. And then they come to hold him and he cries like no other. Tricky tricky.

My Rylan, just enjoying the beach.

I wished I were on that sailboat!

Daddy and Spencer.

Enjoying the scenery.

Say Adacadada!

When we went to our trip to Rosalie Bay, Nenji and Rylan were allowed to bring one toy with them. They have a really bad habit of leaving their toys behind where ever we go. So we figured if they only had one toy to worry about, there would be a less likely chance of them leaving somewhere. We were wrong! Nenji lost his toy once and then he just put it in a safe place and didn't play with it the rest of the time we were there.

My Rylan on the other hand lost his little car multiple times. When he lost it the first time, Fi Dan did "magic" and made it appear. It was hilarious! Ry left his car sitting on the table but he thought he lost it. He looked under the table, around the table, in the bathroom, and everywhere in the room...BUT the table. So Fi Dan said, "Abracadabra!!!" and pointed to his car...and then Ry thought Fi Dan made it appear there. So every time he lost his car he would say, "Someone do magic and say 'abracadada!' Nenji caught on pretty quickly and started doing magic and making Ry's car "appear" too.

In this picture, Nenji, Fi Dan, and I couldn't find his car so that we could make it "appear" for him and so he's making his mad face on the bed. I think he held his face like that for 5 minutes! LOL. Eventually I think Nenji found the car and said, "Abracadabra!" and made it appear. Oh my....this kid sure is an entertainer!

Family Getaway to Rosalie Bay Resort!

Yay! We survived a semester here in Dominica! So lots of changes. Here at Ross they are starting a new program, it's a slower paced track. Fi Dan and I have decided that it'll be best if we take that track because there are a lot of pros. He'll get more time to study, it's slower paced, and hopefully he'll be able to kick butt when it comes to testing! So after a lot of praying and thinking he withdrew from this semester and will be starting his 2nd semester --slow track in September. The only con is that we will be here longer. We are supposed to be back in the States April 2014, however, with the slow track we won't be back until December 2014. So we'll be here for 8 months longer than we had planned. So pray for us and especially Fi Dan that he will do well the following semesters!

Since Fi Dan didn't have to study for finals, we went to Rosalie Bay Resort! We rented a car from a friend and drove there. I was suuuuuper scared. Fi Dan drove all the way there and back and he did so well! I was super scared the whole time. I think the biggest reason was because the kiddos didn't have car seats. And my little Spencer just sat on my lap the whole way! Eeks! Yeah, so I thought that the main paved highway was scary, the little off road that goes to Rosalie Bay was even WORSE! I was so scared the whole entire time that we were going to get lost or get robbed or get swept away in a rainstorm. But I am so grateful that we made it there and back safely!

We didn't really do too much. We just mostly enjoyed sitting in the nice AC room. And the most amazing thing...there were NO mosquitoes!!! So for 4 blessed day and 3 amazing nights, we slept mosquito free. It was really nice not having to think about those annoying things!  Over all, we had a great time just spending time with each other!

Fi Dan driving! He did an amazing job! :)

See my death grip on this child? That's how I held him the whole time!

Such a big boy now!

Rylan!

**This had to be my favorite thing about the trip. Fi Dan is such a great daddy and he played kung fu with the boys. Rylan insisted that Fi Dan wear the bath robe because it was Fi Dan's "Master Clothes". LOL.
