Halloween Memories!

Ever since I could remember, I have been a terror junkie! I love watching scary movies and getting a good scare. Unfortunately my boys are the same. They LOVE listening to scary stories and they LOVE trying to watch scary movies. However, after being terrorized, they refuse to use the restroom by themselves and I have lights that are on all over the house. So I've basically banned them from scary movies until they are old enough....maybe until they move out of my house so that I don't have to listen to them crying in terror at night.
This year their dad thought it would be fun to take them to a haunted house. We went during the "low scare" hour but the make up was still pretty scary. The boys loved and even bragged about how they weren't scared....even though one of them held my hand with a death grip.

This year we took the boys to their school's Harvest Festival. They had a lot of fun.

I love Halloween! I am hoping that my boys are making great memories that will last a life time! A few years a go I met a few people who kept saying they hated Halloween. And it kinda irritated me. They would say how Halloween is a shameful holiday because you just go and beg for candy. Another person said that Halloween was an evil celebration because you worship Satan.

For me, Halloween is either of those. Halloween is a time to spend time with my family and make amazing memories. It's a time to make it about family and make MAGICAL memories.
I'd have to say that my boys are starting to love the holidays as much as I do because of the time we spend with each other and the memories we are making. Love it!

This is probably one of my favorite pictures from this year. Nenji was a little frustrated that people didn't know who he was. People kept asking him if he was Luigi from Mario Brothers. I guess I should have sewed that watermelon size Pikachu to his shoulder so that there would be no mistake. But when we went to the Fresno Truck or Treat, Nenji was SOOO excited to see someone else be Ash too! He came running to me and said "Mom, you have to see her outfit!!!!!" And then I asked if he wanted me to take a picture and he said, "Yes! That's why I came to you". Priceless. :)
