Gingerbread man & Meeting Santa

This is Rylan's gingerbread man. So cute. He was really proud of it. :)

This is Spencer and his class going to meet Santa.

Santa read them a book.

He is such a brave little man. Walked right up Santa got his candy and smiled at the camera.

Spencer's class with Santa.

What a cutie!

Nong Shala 2015 Christmas Party

I love our annual ward Christmas party! This year did we did a celebration of of the Hmong people here being here for 50 years & a Christmas theme. Each auxiliary group did a decades dance. Primary did the 80s and danced to YMCA. They had a lot of fun and really enjoyed performing.

The Relief society and Priesthood had the 70s decades. I think the highlight was seeing the older people ( my parents in particular) dressed up in 70s clothes and dancing around on stage. Loved it!
We had a pretty good time.

Christmas Selfie

Spencer just LOVES Santa! He thinks every Santa that he meets is the real Santa.
My Rylan however, is starting to notice the difference. Rylan saw our ward Santa and just stared at him. I asked if he wanted to go take a picture with Santa, and he said, "No, it's ok. That's not the real Santa. That's my teacher's husband. Uncle Nephi". LOL, I couldn't help but laugh. Too smart!

Below is a recording of the 70s and 80s decade dance! Enjoy!

3 Blessed Years!

This is my little guy. He just turned 3 years old. Sometimes it feels like he was just born yesterday and sometimes it feels like he has been in my life for years and years.

This little boy is such a blessing to our family. He brings us so much joy.
He loves to be independent and gets so proud of himself when he is able to do something by himself. He LOVES mov nplaum and sausages. He can be a little punk sometimes to certain people, but he is such a cutie. He loves school and he loves to read. He also loves to watch kids youtube. He likes to follow his big brothers around and take things way from them. At night he likes to sneak into his grandma and grandpa's room. There he demands to watch netflix. When he is ready for bed he'll come find me and slyly ask me to put him to bed. He hates giving kisses, except for his mama. :)
I love this little boy so much!

Thanksgiving 2015

This year was a special year for us! Fi Dan left to Florida at the beginning of November for school. He was able to fly back home the night before Thanksgiving. It was the best feeling in the world to give him a hug and kiss and tell him how grateful I am for him!
He was here for only a few short days but it was the best Thanksgiving because our family was together.

Together as a family.

I love, love, love, this man.

Thanksgiving memories! Making lemonade with Aunty Kashia.

Um... yum. And I was thankful for this sweet baby!
So yummy!

My little Preschooler

When Nenji and Rylan were preschool age, I was so excited for them to start preschool! I was a little sad to let them go but I was also excited to get a few hours of peace and quietness too!

This year I had been really debating on whether or not Spencer should go to school. I put it off for a long time because I knew I would miss him terribly, he is just such a good little boy and I enjoyed him being home with me....plus he's the baby! But I started to see that he wasn't doing and learning much. And I tried so hard to be good and teach him at home, but he would get so bored so easily.

So I asked him one day if he wanted to go to school, and he just beamed and had a huge grin from ear to ear and said, "YES, mama!"

So I enrolled him. Even after I enrolled him and he started his first 2 days, I tried to convince him to just stay home with me. He said, "No mama, I go to school and you pick me up. It's just 5 minutes." Meaning that he'll be at school for only 5 minutes and I'll be ok. I just laughed.

This week was his first full week of preschool, and he LOVED it! Everyday when I would pick him up he would say, "I had fun, I love school, mama!"

It's been an adjustment for me having the house so quiet, but it's also been pretty nice too. :)
I can't believe my baby is so grown up!

Spencer at home with me....bored.

His first day of school. Look how little he is!

Growing up TOO fast!

I cannot believe my first born is in 1st grade! What? When did he grow up so fast? Here he is at an awards assembly.

Now that Nenji is starting to write, he is leaving notes all over the house.
This picture was from a few weeks ago. Apparently my boys were suppose to have a "secret meeting"....for 3 hours. This cracked me up. I love my babies!

Lesson Learned

These boys are too funny. The other day I took them to the park. Every time we go, my hubby and I end up just sitting there watching them swing. But since my hubby has flown out to Florida to finish up a part of med school, I refuse to just let them swing. When I take them out I like them to actually play, run, and climb.

So my boys took it into their own hands to swing themselves. They could have sat on the big kid swing, but instead decided to climb into the baby swings. I told them, I would not be helping them if they got stuck. But they went a head and climbed in...............and got stuck.

Here they are trying to get out. Nenji threatened me that if I took their picture and posted it on facebook he was going to run away. I laughed and said, "How are you going to run away if you're stuck in the swing". That made him even more upset. So I'm posting it here instead. LOL

Nenji eventually was able to pull himself out but my poor Rylan was struggling! Eventually he was screaming, "Ouch!!!! My boy part hurts! It's being squished!!!!"

I felt really bad and so I went ahead and helped him out. But hopefully it's a lesson that they both learned, don't climb in if you can't get out!

Halloween Memories!

Ever since I could remember, I have been a terror junkie! I love watching scary movies and getting a good scare. Unfortunately my boys are the same. They LOVE listening to scary stories and they LOVE trying to watch scary movies. However, after being terrorized, they refuse to use the restroom by themselves and I have lights that are on all over the house. So I've basically banned them from scary movies until they are old enough....maybe until they move out of my house so that I don't have to listen to them crying in terror at night.
This year their dad thought it would be fun to take them to a haunted house. We went during the "low scare" hour but the make up was still pretty scary. The boys loved and even bragged about how they weren't scared....even though one of them held my hand with a death grip.

This year we took the boys to their school's Harvest Festival. They had a lot of fun.

I love Halloween! I am hoping that my boys are making great memories that will last a life time! A few years a go I met a few people who kept saying they hated Halloween. And it kinda irritated me. They would say how Halloween is a shameful holiday because you just go and beg for candy. Another person said that Halloween was an evil celebration because you worship Satan.

For me, Halloween is either of those. Halloween is a time to spend time with my family and make amazing memories. It's a time to make it about family and make MAGICAL memories.
I'd have to say that my boys are starting to love the holidays as much as I do because of the time we spend with each other and the memories we are making. Love it!

Church Truck or treat.

Pumpkin Patch with Rylan's Class.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures from this year. Nenji was a little frustrated that people didn't know who he was. People kept asking him if he was Luigi from Mario Brothers. I guess I should have sewed that watermelon size Pikachu to his shoulder so that there would be no mistake. But when we went to the Fresno Truck or Treat, Nenji was SOOO excited to see someone else be Ash too! He came running to me and said "Mom, you have to see her outfit!!!!!" And then I asked if he wanted me to take a picture and he said, "Yes! That's why I came to you". Priceless. :)
